About Us

America Visualized was born out of a personal need.

During one of the most turbulent periods in our country’s history, we found ourselves spending hours every day tracking what was actually happening to our democracy — sifting through data, fact-checkers, watchdog organizations, and independent journalists to find the truth beneath the noise. When we started sharing what we were finding on social media, people followed. Every day. Everything we shared.

So we built this.

America Visualized is for anyone who wants to understand what’s happening to our government — without shame, blame, or name-calling. We’re not here to mock anyone for how they voted. We’re here to look clearly at what is, and to imagine what could be.

The name means two things. First: we visualize data — we believe that facts presented clearly and honestly are more powerful than outrage. Second: we practice visualization in the deeper sense — imagining the America we want, as if it were already true.

This is a volunteer project. It’s a work in progress. And it runs on the belief that democracy is not a spectator sport.

Our goals are simple:

  • Share reliable information about what is happening to our democracy
  • Help people take meaningful action
  • Create space to envision and articulate the future we want

20% of all shop sales go directly to legal nonprofits on the front lines: the ACLU, Democracy Forward, The Brennan Center, SPLC, Earthjustice, and the Human Rights Campaign.

We are not affiliated with any political party. We are Americans.

Mission Statement
